Tabernacle Of Faith International is a home to leaders who will be impacting the society for God's greater glory. More than an institution, it is a refuge and a training ground for ordinary people wanting to live extraordinary lives. Tabernacle of Faith International is a non denominational, non sectarian Christian Church. Our Corporate Vision is Winning, Discipling, Plant Churches and Glorify God.
The currently 500 members of TFI started with twenty five members of Rev. Ray Llarena's Bible Study Group in Sikatuna Village. In just a few weeks, this once called "small group" multiplied unimaginably. Their growing number could no longer be contained so they decided to declare the group as a church on the last week of July, 1984.
The PHILIPPINE CHRISTIAN CHARISMATIC MINISTRY held its first service at PPSTA Blg., located on Banaue St., Quezon City. During the first Anniversary celebration, the church as a united force gave glory to God and received a mandate to declare forth His Word uncompromisingly. After a year at PPSTA, Philippine Christian Charismatic Ministry transferred from Banaue St. to Mt. Zion Auditorium Broadway Centrum on Aurora blvd, Quezon City, and after a few months to Mt. Moriah auditorium in the same complex. The Lord challenged the leadership of the church to widen its vision which resulted to the changing of the name from PCCM to TABERNACLE OF FAITH IN ASIA. This was confirmed by an American Evangelist Rev. Tony Storey who said that the congregation will be used as the "springboard to Asia."
In 1985, the City of Refuge Children's Home was established with about 15 orphans at Blue Ridge, Quezon City, which eventually transferred to JUSMAG Compound, in the same city. After one year, TOFIA took a step of faith by founding a school, named TABERNACLE OF FAITH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, which aimed to provide Christian education par excellence.
In 1989, the the Lord set another direction for both the school and the church. However, as there was a change of location, there was also a change of heart among TOFIA's members who chose not to go with the "cloud of glory".
God had greater plans for us and as we face the new challenges, our faith is also greatly increased. A new mandate was given, and with this came the new name of TABERNACLE OF FAITH IN ASIA. TABERNACLE OF FAITH INTERNATIONAL signaled another milestone in the history of the church.
He was born in the Philippines. Father of three grown children, he is a pastor, seminar teacher and family counselor. He has served God faithfully in ministry for over 40 years. Founder of Tabernacle of Faith Christian Academy in Manila, and Tabernacle of Faith International Church group with locations in the Philippines and in various other countries. In 2005 he founded Harvest Christian Academy in Honduras. He is the founder and currently Senior Pastor of Harvest Christian Center in Chicago, a Church that is just eight years old and has experienced tremendous growth. HCC has a multi-ethnic and vibrant congregation, which is touching the world. Bishop Ray remains very involved in foreign missions.
Pastor Steve is the resident Pastor of TFI gateway The McKinneys have been missionaries for a long time, doing the work that God has called them to do. They have been ministering to various countries like the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines to name a few. Today, God has called them back to the Philippines to help expand the kingdom.
Pastor Bong is the Spiritual Affairs Coordinator of Tabernacle of Faith Chrisitan Academy, who is the overseer for Lifegroups together with his wife Mina Sumayod who heads the "Consolidation" department of this church assists the McKinneys at TFI Gateway.
Our 16 Fundamental Truths Condensed These are nonnegotiable tenets of faith that Tabernacle of Faith International churches adhere to. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine. 4. WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world. 5. WE BELIEVE...Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior). WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles. 9. WE BELIEVE...Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike. 10. WE BELIEVE...The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ. 11. WE BELIEVE...A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church and to Meet human need with ministries of love and compassion. 12. WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace. 15. WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire. 16. WE BELIEVE...and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!'
